The employment application is an important part of the hiring process: it provides employers with clear and relevant information about applicants. An application is also a legal document and becomes a part of a person's permanent file once he or she is hired.
Application Materials
Application materials and copies of complete Employment Opportunity announcements are available during regular business hours in the Personnel Commission Office (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday).
Submitting Your Application
Note: District employees and external applicants must submit the required proof of education and/or training with each application by uploading copies of a high school diploma, GED certification (or equivalent), transcripts (official or unofficial), college degree(s), and/or training certificates. If the required proof of education is not attached to the application you may be disqualified. All relevant experience must be clearly indicated in the "Work Experience" section of the application. Resumes will not be considered.
The Selection Process
After a recruitment closes, applications are screened and qualified applicants are moved forward to the testing process. Successful applicants will be placed on an eligibility list and called for interviews, in order by rank, as positions become available.
For continuous positions, applications are reviewed continuously until a suitable applicant pool is identified or the positions are filled. Occasionally, the final filing may be changed to continuous or extended when a larger applicant pool is required.
Inquiries about specific positions may be submitted via email at pc_inquiries@sbcusd.k12.ca.us.
Employment Opportunities Bulletin
The Employment Opportunities Bulletins are distributed via email to site secretaries for posting.
