UMass Amherst campus aerial panorama landscape

Improving quality of life and achieving health equity are not just slogans – they lie at the heart of what we do at the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences. Whether we are combating a global pandemic or an opioid epidemic, working to prevent chronic disease or food insecurity, advocating for global health or the environment, or striving toward healthy aging, lifestyles, or reproductive health, our curriculum, outreach, practice, and research are always carried out with the goal of improving health outcomes for all.

As a graduate student in one of our master's or doctoral programs, you can turn your passion into activism and become an agent of change. Choose from one of our eight academic areas of study or our fully online degree and certificate programs covering all aspects of public health and health sciences. There is one designed just for you.
